Privacy policy
What this site collects about you, and what you can ask us to do with it.
This policy covers luxmarketing.agency, its free tools and the forms on it. Client data handled during an engagement is covered by that client’s contract and, where needed, a data processing agreement or BAA.

Who we are
Lux Marketing Agency LLC (“Lux”, “we”, “us”) runs this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy at privacy@luxmarketing.agency, or by mail at the address at the end of this page.
What you give us
- Applications and contact forms: your name, email, phone number, company, website, and your answers about ad spend, what you sell and who can make changes on your side.
- Free tools: the website address or competitor you ask about and, if you choose to unlock the full report, your email address.
- Workshop and download requests: your email address (and name, if you give it) when you ask to hear about a workshop date or download a free resource.
- Booking a call: when you book a call at book.luxmarketing.agency, our booking app records your name, email and the meeting details.
- Emails and calls: whatever you send us or tell us.
Form submissions (applications, free-resource and tool requests, workshop notifications) are stored on our own server and read by us. The site doesn’t send you automated emails.
What the site collects automatically
- Usage analytics (Matomo): pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, clicks on buttons and links, referring site, approximate location from your IP address, and browser and device type.
- A browser identifier (FingerprintJS): an ID calculated from your browser and device settings, used to recognize return visits when cookies are blocked or cleared. It’s stored with the analytics data above.
- Ad click IDs and campaign tags: when you arrive from an ad, the click ID (Google’s gclid, gbraid or wbraid; Meta’s fbclid; Microsoft’s msclkid) and UTM campaign tags, together with your IP address, browser details and the actions you take on the site, such as submitting a form. We store these on our own server to report which ads lead to inquiries, and we send conversions back to Google Ads.
- Google Tag Manager and the Google Ads tag: these load Google’s measurement and advertising tags, which set cookies so Google can measure ad results and show our ads to past visitors.
- X (Twitter) pixel: on the Tracking Stack Detector page only. It tells X that you visited and, if you unlock a report there, the email address you entered, so X can measure our ads.
- Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA): on the contact page, Google checks your browser and interaction to tell people from bots, under Google’s privacy policy.
How we use it
- To review your application, reply to you, and deliver the work you hire us for.
- To show you the free-tool report you asked for. Reports appear on the page; we contact you only about a request you made.
- To understand which pages, ads and campaigns bring inquiries, and to improve the site.
- To show our ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing).
- To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share it only with services that help us run the site and the business:
- Hosting and storage: our web server, Vultr for video and file storage, and Backblaze B2 for workshop replay videos.
- Analytics and advertising: Matomo, Google (Tag Manager, Google Ads, reCAPTCHA), X (Twitter) and the ad platforms whose tags we use. Some US state laws call sharing data for targeted advertising a “sale” or “sharing”; you can opt out as described below.
- Free tools: some tools send the public web page or ads you ask about to an AI provider (OpenAI) for analysis. Your email address is not sent with it. Website scans and ad searches run on Apify, which receives the web address or competitor you ask about.
- Booking: our booking app at book.luxmarketing.agency, which handles your name, email and meeting details and sends the booking confirmation.
- When the law requires it: to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
Application and contact details: as long as we’re in touch, and up to three years after. Analytics and conversion records: as long as they’re useful for reporting, then deleted or aggregated. Client and billing records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion: email privacy@luxmarketing.agency and we’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it’s you first.
- Opting out of targeted advertising: email us, and we’ll exclude your details from ad audiences we upload. You can also use Google’s ad settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker.
- Stopping contact: reply to any email from us, or write to the address below, and we’ll stop contacting you.
- Where you live may give you more rights. Residents of California, other US states with privacy laws, the EU, the UK and elsewhere can ask what we hold, ask us to delete or correct it, and object to its use. We won’t treat you differently for asking. If you’re in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and limited access to keep your information safe. No system is completely secure, so we can’t promise that it never will be breached; if a breach affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn’t meant for anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on the site.
